Donate to Halifax Cat Rescue Society
The best way to donate to the Halifax Cat Rescue Society is by email money transfer (EMT). This reaches us faster than any other option and we get to keep 100% of the donation. You can send a one time donation or setup a monthly recurring donation. Monthly donations allow us to budget better because we know how much we can expect from our wonderful donors. Monthly automatic donations are issued a tax receipt at year end so please include your name and mailing address. Without you, none of what we do is possible. Please send your EMT to hcrsfundraising@outlook.com. Please let us know if the donation is in memory of a loved one. You may also use this email to let us know you wish to send a cheque.

A tax receipt will be issued for donations of $30 or more. Donations are tracked through out the year and one receipt will be issued in January (faster in the case of adoption donations).

However, HCRS also issues tax receipts for donation made other ways that are over $30
Donate Food
We have several locations around the Halifax Regional Municipality to drop off cat food. These food donations support our feral feeding stations and adoptable cats in foster care. Click here to email a request for the locations. Our friends at The Medicine Shoppe at 133 Baker Drive in Dartmouth have a food donation bin as well.
Attach your receipts with your name to your food donations when you drop them off. On the first donation also include your mailing address so we can keep track of your receipts to issue you a tax receipt in December.
