Weston

Weston was rescued together with his littermate, Johnson, and their mother from a large colony that we manage in a distant burb of Halifax. Their mother had escaped our original sweep last year in our first efforts to get the colony numbers under control. Inevitably she turned up this year with a litter, although it is believed these two boys were the only ones to survive. When we first clapped eyes on these kittens, we groaned inwardly, as they were a tad over the age where we expect to easily socialize them. It's always worth giving it a go, so imagine our surprise and delight when first Johnson, then Westons shortly thereafter, showed signs of progress. Today both kittens have morphed into affectionate, friendly little guys who love to be loved.
Weston initially lagged behind Johnson in his social development, but has since followed in his footsteps without any deviation. he is now uber-affectionate, almost more so than Johnson, even after hanging back in the early going, showing little interest in being held. He purrs at the drop of a hat and loves to snuggle in your arms in bed or on the couch. He's a little more timid of strangers than Johnson, but that quickly dissipates when he gets to know them. He has a mellow personality, but that doesn't stop him from mixing it up with the resident cats in the foster home. Weston is more of a bruiser than Johnson in his body type, with a distinctive face. His fur is a solid gray colour, and super soft. He's a lovely, healthy boy.
Weston has been neutered, needled, tested for disease and treated for parasites. He is eminently adoptable for all our fears at the outset. Ideally he would be adopted together with Johnson (always our wish), but we feel now that he is older, he would do fine in just about any situation. Ideally he would have another cat in the adoptive home for company.
We ask for a minimum $140 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
