Nero, Merlot, Brion, Pinot
These kittens from the "Dark Side" - with apologies to their white sista-friend - came to us from the South Shore. A woman moving into the area had inherited some stray cats in her back yard, and was able to corral them all into carriers for transport to the vet clinics for care. She was keeping the adults herself - bless her heart - but wanted to find homes for the kittens. There was a little fear at first that they were too old to tame, but we were able to secure the services of one of our most tried and trusted foster parents to do the deed. Here are their comments below about each of the kittens, who are now four months old.
Pinot has been in our foster care for only a few weeks but has shown great progress. He is still a little timid but will allow you to let him if he's in the mood. He loves to chill out with his identical twin, so hard to tell these two apart but one thing that is for sure is when these two are together they purr the house down. Pinot is male, jet black in color but with a colorful heart.
Nero loves to chill with his identical brother but has a rather soft spot for our older cats. He follows them around and seems to never leave their side. The funny thing with this is that Pinot will tag along too just so he can be close to Nero. Nero is jet black in color but with a colorful heart.
Merlot is another beautiful black male kitty and is something else; he is a character all by himself. This may have something to do with the fact that he has an extra toe on each paw( a polydactyl ). He plods around like he has a pair of really big shoes on, which is quite funny to see but very adorable and quite cute indeed. He loves to be petted when you can get hold of him but the purr you receive is worth the effort.
Brion is the only white cat in this litter with a black patch on her head. She is also the only female which seems to make her the strong one. She is also the most outgoing one of the litter. She is therefore the one who seems to lead the rest of the pack into mischief and will be the first to approach you. She definitely looks out for her all male siblings. Very inquisitive and very beautiful.
All four love treats and seem to have a gift of hearing the treats being opened from two floors away.
Each of these kittens has been fixed, microchipped, vaccinated and tested for disease, and treated for parasites as a matter of course. We expect our kittens to go in pairs or to a home with another youngish cat for company.
We ask for a minimum $175 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
