Sully

Sully was rescued from a wooded area near the airport in early spring, which tells us loud and clear he was outright abandoned there. He had found his way to a nearby hotel where the staff took pity on him over the winter months and began to feed him daily. They told us he had been there for months and while he kept his distance from many of them, he clung very close to their break area and appeared every day at the same times to have a nosh of whatever scraps were on offer that day. He became more friendly with one of the staff and she took it upon herself to get him some help. Given the regularity of his visits, he wasn't too difficult to trap.
Since Sully’s rescue, he has become a very, very nice cat. He’s mellow and calm; in fact, his foster mom says he’s pretty fearless. Nothing seems to faze him– well - other than the vacuum cleaner! However, like many cats, he can be quite timid when strangers come into the home and tends to retreat into hiding for a spell.
Sully lives in a busy home with multiple cats, 2 dogs and a toddler. His chief occupation is in holding court over the other resident cats and his foster mom he feels he would do best in a home that has other cats for company. He’s found a way to tolerate and live in peace with the two (large) resident dogs, largely by avoiding them. The most endearing thing is that he’s taken it upon himself to be the keeper of the child, as he’s often very nearby, lying next to her and letting her grab at him without making any fuss. He’s not a lap cat per se, but he’s otherwise affectionate, obviously happy to just spend time in your company. He’s also become a bit of a "tubster"; just loves his food and gobbles down whatever's on offer, so we need to watch his diet intake.
All in all, he’s described by his foster mom as a great cat and we feel he deserves a great forever home.
Sully has been tested for feline disease, treated for parasites, and neutered.
We ask for a minimum $140 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
