Rudie

Rudie came to our notice when people in an apartment building posted that he was desperately trying to get into the building. These people had taken him inside at first, but insisted that Rudie had to be taken in by a rescue group asap or they would put him back outside. While it seems obvious that Rudie was abandoned, the inside story is that the people in the apartment above his rescuers had been getting into trouble with the landlord because they would lock their cat (Rudie?) outdoors on their balcony and his yowling was causing people to complain. When these people were approached directly to ask if he was theirs, they said no.  In any case, it was clear Rudie wasn't wanted, so we got on with the business of getting him vetted and placed into foster care.

Rudie is only about 9-10 months in age, as guestimated by the condition of his teeth. According to his foster mom, he behaves a little like a teenager in that he awkwardly tries to assert himself in a home with two other cats and a dog. Like most kittens, he has a lot of energy, wanting to pounce on and play with the resident cats, but as they're older boys, they have little patience for his shenanigans. He can be a little skittish at times, but he is otherwise a fine, friendly fellow.

Rudie has received our full panel of vet care, including neuter, microchip, vaccination and treatment for parasites.

We ask for a minimum $160 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
