Rootie was picked up along with several other members of her family at a rural location outside the city. The colony began as a few strays but it was quickly growing out of hand. Thankfully the caregiver reached out for help and because of her close relationship with the cats, virtually all of them were socialized enough as to be adoptable. Rootie had done her share of contributing to the population, but she is still believed to be still quite young, approximately 3-4 years in age.
Rootie is a sweet, retiring little kitty who absolutely loves the company of other cats. She would make a perfect companion cat if that's what you are seeking. The way to her heart is through Temptations treats and play; as she loves to pounce on just about anything that resembles a toy. Toes wiggling under the blanket are especially exciting. It takes time for her to warm up to you and she gets skittish around strangers and loud noises and action. She would do best in a quiet home with perhaps older kids and a resident cat for company.
Rootie has been spayed, microchipped, tested for disease and treated for parasites.
We ask for a minimum $160 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
