Reid is a forever foster candidate! This means that while he is adopted permanently, HCRS will continue to take care of his vet bills over Reid's lifetime because of his FIV positive status.
Reid is a very healthy and happy cat who is FIV positive. This means he should be an only cat so that there is no issue with any transference of fluids (accidents, fighting) to an FIV negative cat. This possibility is low, but is nevertheless something to consider. Aside from this, Reid has proven himself to be a very "alpha" male, which simply means he's best on his own so he doesn't intimidate other cats.
Reid is an incredibly friendly, handsome guy! When he's not playing with a toy mouse or a ball, he's kneading his paws (with thumbs!) into your belly. This curious boy loves to "help," whether it's with studying, yoga, or just lounging and watching TV. He's very social, and greets everyone at the door with a rub against the legs. I've only picked him up a few times, but he hasn't had any issues with it. Reid will let you know when he wants some attention, usually by nuzzling his head under your hand or arm, sometimes accompanied with a chirp!
Reid would be a wonderful addition to his forever home! If you'd like to meet him, Forever fosters are required to be approved with our application process.
