Marty - Forever Foster Needed

Marty is a super sweet female cat who is guestimated to be about 7 years old. She was picked up from the home of an elderly couple on the South Shore who were looking for help managing the many cats in their care.  At first glance, we could see that there was something going on with Marty's hind end.  We later learned that her tail had been broken at one time right at the base, where the tail just hangs limply.  She apparently has no sensation in the tail, but it does get proper blood flow, so it wasn't necessary to remove it. The vet recommended that we treat Marty with motility medication on an ongoing basis to be sure that she had no problems defecating. She's done beautifully on these meds in foster care over the past two months, taking her pill very easily.  Because of this condition, we would offer a forever foster arrangement (vet care assumed by HCRS for her lifetime) to whoever will be so kind and generous as to offer Marty a home.

For all that Marty is a little bit older, she dearly loves to play and interact with her humans.  And like most cats, she delights in having her cheeks rubbed. She has a big 'ol motor affixed to her purr machine, and will happily hang out with her humans as they relax.  Her foster dad says she would make a very nice pet to have for company.

Marty has been tested for feline leukemia/FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped and treated for parasites.  She does well with other cats, but it is not known how well she would do with dogs or in a busy home environment.
