L'il Bee & Kazoo

L'il Bee and Kazoo were rounded up together with the rest of their colony-mates at an industrial property in Dartmouth mid-winter. One of the employees had been looking after the colony for several years and someone he knew had finally thought to seek help for the cats. The colony caregiver had befriended a few of the cats, likely when they were still kittens, and these were the ones deemed right away to be adoptable. L'il Bee was one of those cats, as we had seen her being cuddled by the caregiver a few days before her capture.
L'il Bee was paired with Kazoo right off the bat, as we supposed that their close resemblance to each other indicated they were littermates. They were guestimated to be about 8-9 months old at the time and they're now going on a year in age. It was important for these kitties to have a friend in their foster home as it offered reassurance to them that all was well. Kazoo also benefited from L'il Bee's more advanced socialization.
Have a read below of their foster parents' comments:
"Love these two beautiful girls to bits. They are absolutely adorable and are very inseparable. Always following each other everywhere. If one of them is attacking your feet then along comes the other one. They eat at the same time and if one leaves the food bowl then the other one does. I think you can see the pattern here. Not 100% sure if these two are from the same litter but they are as close to twins as I have ever seen only difference being a little white patch on Kazoo's chest.
Having said all that it is L'il Bee that is definitely the more confident and has become a very loving and cuddly kitten. She loves to be stroked and purrs on demand. She even purrs when she so much as sees you when you come in the door from work. Both girls will always greet you at the door; if they aren't asleep that is.
Kazoo isn't as interactive but when you are in bed she always gets on the bed and lies by your feet. Just don't move your feet or she will have them.
It would be an absolute shame if these two were separated. I just think that they are one as a team. Like I said they are inseparable."
Each of these precious girls has been spayed, tested for disease and treated for parasites. They are still skinny minnies but they should fill out as they get older and continue to live a life of luxury indoors.
We ask for a minimum $140 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
