PLEASE NOTE: IT IS HCRS POLICY THAT OUR KITTENS BE ADOPTED EITHER AS PAIRS OR TO A FAMILY WITH A CAT(S) ALREADY IN THE HOME. THIS IS TO ENSURE FURTHER SOCIALIZATION OF NEWLY RESCUED KITTENS. THIS POLICY IS ENFORCED WITH ALL OF OUR KITTEN ADOPTIONS. Thanks!
These sweet boys were part of a litter of four picked up from a colony on the Eastern Shore. This litter was lucky enough to have a clever mama cat who decided she would have them in the safety of the home of the couple who cared for the colony rather than the great outdoors. The couple discovered the kittens two weeks or so after they were born in a closet just under the stairs. Because the mama cat was more social than many of the other cats in the colony, we decided to leave the kittens with her until they were 8 weeks old, so these little guys have had the best circumstances in which to enjoy their "childhood". And because they're been handled since they were mere weeks old, they are uber-social with humans as well. They turned out so friendly, in fact, that two of the kittens were adopted by their foster mom right off the bat. She would have loved to keep them all, of course, but why deprive some other adopter of the joy of having the opportunity to adopt these other two kittens?
This is what the foster mom has to say about their personalities:
Jolson is a beautiful darker-coated tabby who loves to be silly and play (especially with your toes)! He's a constant source of laughter, and an absolute pleasure to have as a foster parent. He's very friendly, loves to greet upon my arrival at home, and is affectionate and loving. Nothing but a pleasure to have in every way.
Armstrong is a funny, playful kitten who loves to play tag and act silly with his litter mates. He's sweet and affectionate, and often comes up to snuggle and sleep with his foster momma. Always comes to greet at the door, friendly and affectionate to all whom have met him. A real Romeo and sweetheart, and overall wonderful foster kitten.
Each of these kittens is now fully vetted, meaning he has been neutered, vaccinated, tested for disease and treated for parasites.
We ask for a minimum $140 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
