Dunvegan

This little darlin' was rescued from a quarry a few months ago and he has been in our care since, which represents the time it took to get Dunvegan on his feet. Upon first seeing him, he was just a rumpled and dirty bag of bones, not even weighing 2 pounds for a frame that suggested he was older than his weight indicated; maybe 3 months? He had very little energy to fight or be frightened, so the usual hissing and spitting of a feral kitten was noticeably absent. Our first objective was to get some meat on those bones, so lots of good food and a few rounds of parasite treatment was the first order of business. Thankfully Dunvegan was a compliant little fellow and presented no protest as we poked and prodded in our various ministrations.
Today, we think that Dunvegan is about 5 months old and our early endearment - "Raggamuffin" - is no longer accurate. His fur is long and glossy, and his personality has grown to match the resplendence of his coat. His energy levels are now sky high as he bounces around and wrestles with his rescue-mate, Jimmy Choo, in his foster home. When he settles down for a nap, he can become incredibly sweet and loving, giving you little kisses on the chin with his scratchy tongue as he purrs and wriggles with delight. Dunvegan has become one happy guy with the many creature comforts of indoor living.
Somewhere in his emergent state of good health, Dunvegan was neutered, tested for disease (negative), and vaccinated in addition to the parasite treatment that was administered. As with many of our kittens, we insist that he go to a home where he will have at least one other cat for company, which will encourage his ongoing social development. Wouldn't it be lovely if he was adopted together with his friend, Jimmy Choo?
We ask for a minimum $140 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
