Brookfield
Brookfield is a tiny mite of a thing, a dainty little gray tabby who nursed her little babies diligently until they were adopted and then took on any other kittens that came into her orbit to mother as well. In fact, she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She doesn't much like being handled or picked up, and will often skitter away on direct approach, but if you catch her, she doesn't mind it a bit. Her foster mom thinks she would do well with a laid back dog as well as other cats, as she absolutely loves being in their company. She would do best in a quiet home with no small children.
Brookfield came to our attention when the coworker of one of our volunteers found her under their deck with newborn babies. She had wounds around her neck, shoulder and back leg at the time, likely from fending off a predator to protect her babies. She was very relieved when she could relax in a foster home, knowing it was safe and food was plentiful.
Brookfield has received "the works"; she was spayed, microchipped, tested for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus (negative), vaccinated and treated for parasites.
We ask for a minimum $160 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
