PLEASE NOTE: IT IS HCRS POLICY THAT OUR KITTENS BE ADOPTED EITHER AS PAIRS OR TO A FAMILY WITH A CAT(S) ALREADY IN THE HOME. THIS IS TO ENSURE FURTHER SOCIALIZATION OF NEWLY RESCUED KITTENS. THIS POLICY IS ENFORCED WITH ALL OF OUR KITTEN ADOPTIONS. Thanks!
These sturdy fellas together with their sis were fortunate enough to be brought up indoors because their plucky mama, MacKenzie, essentially knocked on the door of a kind family who elected to take them in rather than leave them out to fend for themselves. Like any polite guests, they made themselves at home while at the same time offering up their many charms to the various family members. As the kittens got older, the family saw that they could not afford their ongoing care, so they asked us to take them into our program. We hoped that because they were all so very social and sweet, we would have no difficulty finding them homes. In fact, during their first vet visit, the vet herself fell in love with the female kitten and ended up adopting her, much to our delight.
Athabaska and Liard are currently living in a busy foster home with three other cats, a large dog and two children. They thrive on attention and action and like most boys, romp and stomp with the best of them. They are affectionate, playful, outgoing and easy to love.
The boys have had both sets of vaccinations and they're scheduled to be fixed the last week of July. They have also been dewormed and tested as a matter of course.
*Athabasca is the mostly black kitten, Liard has more white.
We ask for a minimum $140 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
