Archie
Archie is a youngster that was rescued from a landfill location where he had either been dumped or brought in on a truck carrying a load of garbage. It was apparent that Archie was used to human contact as he immediately approached the workers in the area, loudly meowing for assistance. Thankfully he was unharmed by the ordeal and was very appreciative of the food on offer when we picked him up that day.
Archie is a super sweet and super affectionate cat; full of personality. He is also very energetic and rambunctious in his play with the resident cat in his current foster home. This tells us that he would do best in a home with another cat for companionship, which would also serve as a positive outlet for his energy.
Archie is currently on a low-dose of steroids to treat a skin condition. While this may subside over time, we are aware that most people will not be interested in adopting a cat with a pre-existing health condition. Archie is very healthy otherwise, so this is the only glitch in the ointment. For this reason, we are offering Archie as a candidate for our forever foster program, meaning we would continue to offer vet care for his skin condition going forward and the adopter would simply provide him with his home care into perpetuity (one would hope).
Archie has also been neutered, microchipped, tested for disease, treated for parasites and vaccinated. Just waiting on the right home to come along.
We ask for a minimum $200 donation for each of our rescued cats. A charitable tax receipt will be issued.
